Description of Lecture:
This presentation will explain the treatment of pain in older patients.
Target Audience:
This lecture is designed to provide physicians, pharmacists, nurse practitioners, residents, as well as any medical or allied health professional with advanced information to improve their care of older adults.
Learning objectives:
At the conclusion of this lecture, learners should be better able to:
- Identify the best rating scale for pain to use with elderly patients.
- Describe strategies most effective for treating pain in older adults.

Description of Media:
Media consist of approximately 45 - 50 minutes of audio and PowerPoint presentation taped from the live event and streamed. A post-test of 2 questions and an evaluation questionnaire are included.
Evaluation Method:
An evaluation questionnaire consisting of 2 topic related questions and 3 evaluation questions are required for CME credit.

Up to 60 minutes should be allowed for completion of this lecture and evaluation.
