Treat osteoporosis.

Knowledge Action
Our aim is not only do decrease the risk of falling, but also decrease the risk of injures if the patient falls. Treating osteoporosis decreases the risk of hip fracture. Therefore an older patient that has recurrent falls should be screened for osteoporosis with a bone mineral density (BMD) test.

If a patient has osteoporosis, it should be treated accordingly.
